it's regrettable to inform you that it's only getting worse
it's impossible just to pick where to begin

we used to raise chicken that is momma and me
kept 'em in the backyard, let 'em run free
Some we kept for laying and the rest we'd eat
we'd wash 'em every night and we would grease their little feet
Free-range corn-fed certified organic
germ free sterilized hypo-allergenic
the cleanest little chickens that you ever did see
them down home chickens just can't be beat
I had it everyday it was all that I'd eat
so it never really seemed so special to me
but I couldn't bring myself to waste a single piece
that down home chicken just couldn't be beat
dry rubbed crumb coated overnight marinated
dressed up overstuffed deep fried double basted
best tasting chicken that you're ever gonna eat
that down home chicken just can't be beat
we had so many chicken they were under our feet
much more that me and momma could ever try to eat
so we sold 'em to the process plant up the street
they mangled 'em up and made 'em into the tastiest treat
boneless skinless partially hydrogenated
beakless feetless mechanically separated
don't taste like chicken but it's something to eat
because you can't go wrong with unrefrigerated meat
